Happy Birthday!!!!  This friend in the AM class turned 4 years old! YAY!  Social Skills Students learned that they can self talk to remind them to do an activity. So when it is time to clean up- instead of going back to playing, students can say, "It's time to clean up, it's time to clean up, it's time to clean up."  Students also learned another social skill and that is to give a play idea to a friend when they are playing together. So instead of just playing in the block area apart they can come together and make a plan on what to build.                                                                         Color- Blue, Shape- Circle  Students had to look around the room for the color blue and the shape of the circle. Try to find these things items at your house. Social Skill- How do you get a toy you want?  Students are learning not to just take toys from their friends but to use their words and say, "Can I have it when you are done?" That way it gives the friend with the toy time to finish up playing with it and then the students that wants the toy time to wait and then receive the toy.  Students are also learning how to play attention to the teacher during class time. I know that students are listening when they have their eyes on me, ears are listening,

 Tucker Turtle  Students learned about Tucker Turtle and how to Stop, Take 3 Deep Breaths, and Think of a Solution. Sometimes we are upset by something and this method helps us to calm down and think about a way to solve what is bothering us.  Tortuga Tucker Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre la tortuga Tucker y cómo detenerse, tomar 3 respiraciones profundas y pensar en una solución.
