Workers at Lakeview

                                                         Color- Blue, Shape- Circle 

Students had to look around the room for the color blue and the shape of the circle. Try to find these things items at your house. You can make it into a fun hunt!

Los estudiantes tenían que mirar alrededor del salón para ver el color azul y la forma del círculo. Trate de encontrar estos artículos en su casa. ¡Puedes convertirlo en una cacería divertida!

Social Skill- How do you get a toy you want? 

Students are learning not to just take toys from their friends but to use their words and say, "Can I have it when you are done?" That way it gives the friend with the toy time to finish up playing with it and then the students that wants the toy time to wait and then receive the toy. 

Students are also learning how to play attention to the teacher during class time. I know that students are listening when they have their eyes on me, ears are listening, voices are quiet, and bodies calm. Have your child practice these skills when you are at home :) 

Habilidad social: ¿cómo consigues el juguete que quieres?

Los estudiantes están aprendiendo no solo a quitarles los juguetes a sus amigos, sino a usar sus palabras y decir: "¿Puedo tenerlo cuando termines?" De esa manera le da tiempo al amigo con el juguete para que termine de jugar con él y luego a los estudiantes que quieren el juguete para esperar y luego recibir el juguete.

Los estudiantes también están aprendiendo a prestar atención al maestro durante el tiempo de clase. Sé que los estudiantes están escuchando cuando tienen sus ojos puestos en mí, los oídos escuchan, las voces están tranquilas y los cuerpos tranquilos. Haga que su hijo practique estas habilidades cuando esté en casa :)

Center Time

Doors of Workers 

Students walked around the school hunting for doors of workers. Every time students saw a door Miss Kirby put a tally mark on a piece of paper. After finding all the doors in the school. Students went back to their rooms to count the total of doors. The AM class found 18 doors and the PM class from 19 doors. What a big number!!!!

Puertas de trabajadores

Los estudiantes caminaron por la escuela buscando puertas de trabajadores. Cada vez que los estudiantes veían una puerta, la señorita Kirby ponía una marca en una hoja de papel. Después de encontrar todas las puertas de la escuela. Los estudiantes regresaron a sus habitaciones para contar el total de puertas. La clase AM encontró 18 puertas y la clase PM de 19 puertas. ¡Qué gran número!

Office Space 

Students took a tour around the school office with Mrs. Griesen and Guadlope, and Mr. Witt. They then were to come back to the classroom and draw what they saw. This is an awesome activity to work on their recalling and recognizing what they saw. Using your brain and rememberer this is very important!

Los estudiantes hicieron un recorrido por la oficina de la escuela con la Sra. Griesen, Guadlope y el Sr. Witt. Luego debían regresar al aula y dibujar lo que vieron. Esta es una actividad increíble para trabajar en recordar y reconocer lo que vieron. ¡Usar tu cerebro y recordar esto es muy importante. 

Positional Game 

Students had a picture or Mr. Witt and Dr. Plas. They were to put the picture in different areas around the room. This was a great activity for listening and spacial awareness! Work on using objects around the house and have your child place the objects- between, underneath, infront of, behind, and on top of.

Los estudiantes tenían una foto del Sr. Witt y el Dr. Plas. Debían poner la imagen en diferentes áreas de la habitación. ¡Esta fue una gran actividad para escuchar y conciencia espacial! Trabaje en el uso de objetos en la casa y pídale a su hijo que los coloque: entre, debajo, enfrente, detrás y encima.

Thank you Cards 

Students made thank you cards for the workers at PC. Students put their finger print around the Lakeview Viking. After making cards, students went around to the workers and passed them out. GO Vikings!!! 

Tarjetas de agradecimiento

Los estudiantes hicieron tarjetas de agradecimiento para los trabajadores de PC. Los estudiantes ponen su huella digital alrededor del Lakeview Viking. Después de hacer tarjetas, los estudiantes se acercaron a los trabajadores y las distribuyeron. ¡VAMOS Vikingos!

Handwriting Time 

Students are working on pulling down the lines starting at the time. Students are working on the beginning stage of forming letters.  Students are working on Big Lines, Little Lines, Big Curves, and Little Curves.

Picture Day 

On Tuesday, students had their picture taken! They LOVED it!
