Counting Apples 

Students were to pick a number card and then put that on the dog's head. 

Contando manzanas

Los estudiantes debían elegir una tarjeta numérica y luego ponerla en la cabeza del perro.





Sorting Apples 

AM students were to sort apples by size. 

PM students were to sort apples by size, shape, and color. 

Clasificación de manzanas

Los estudiantes de la mañana debían clasificar las manzanas por tamaño.

Pumpkins 

AM students cut shapes out for their pumpkins face. 

PM students were to cut their pumpkin out with their name on it and then put it back together. 

At free choice time, students made their very own pumpkin to hang on the wall. 

Calabazas

Los estudiantes de la mañana recortan formas para su cara de calabaza.

Los estudiantes de PM debían cortar su calabaza con su nombre y luego volver a armarla.

En el tiempo de libre elección, los estudiantes hicieron su propia calabaza para colgar en la pared.







Letter Ii  

 4 year old students are recognizing, saying the sound, and writing the letter Tt. 

Home Activity: Work on saying the letters and sounds of your child's name.

Roll the Ball to your partner 

Students worked on their listening skills and partner skills by rolling the ball to their partner.

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Plant Unit- Week 1 (Plant Expert)

 Student of the Week  Alumno de la semana Number 6  Número 6 Plant Expert   Mrs. Brenda (Mrs. Jarecki's Mom) came to school to teach students about plants. They planted green bean seeds, sunflowers, and a bulb. Students learned that there are many different kinds of seeds. Seeds needs dirt, water, and sun to grow.  Experto en plantas La Sra. Brenda (la mamá de la Sra. Jarecki) vino a la escuela para enseñar a los estudiantes acerca de las plantas. Plantaron semillas de judías verdes, girasoles y un bulbo. Los estudiantes aprendieron que hay muchos tipos diferentes de semillas. Las semillas necesitan tierra, agua y sol para crecer.
