This friend in the AM class turned 4 years old! YAY! 

Social Skills

Students learned that they can self talk to remind them to do an activity. So when it is time to clean up- instead of going back to playing, students can say, "It's time to clean up, it's time to clean up, it's time to clean up." 

Students also learned another social skill and that is to give a play idea to a friend when they are playing together. So instead of just playing in the block area apart they can come together and make a plan on what to build. That is how we are super friends! 

Habilidades sociales

Los estudiantes aprendieron que pueden hablar por sí mismos para recordarles que deben realizar una actividad. Entonces, cuando llega el momento de limpiar, en lugar de volver a limpiar, los estudiantes pueden decir: "Es hora de limpiar, es hora de limpiar, es hora de limpiar".

Los estudiantes también aprendieron otra habilidad social y es darle una idea de juego a un amigo cuando juegan juntos. Entonces, en lugar de simplemente jugar en el área de bloques separados, pueden unirse y hacer un plan sobre qué construir. ¡Así somos súper amigos!

Handwriting 

Students learned how to make slanted lines in their Handwriting Books. Some of the letters have slanted lines. We are getting closer to working on letters.

Los estudiantes aprendieron a hacer líneas inclinadas en sus libros de escritura a mano. Algunas de las letras tienen líneas inclinadas. Estamos cada vez más cerca de trabajar con letras.

How many leaves tall are you? 

Students measured how many trees tall they were with Mrs. Jarosz. They then found the tallest and shortest friend in the classroom. We are all made different but still so important NO matter how tall or small. 

¿Cuántas hojas de altura tienes?

Los estudiantes midieron cuántos árboles de altura tenían con la Sra. Jarosz. Luego encontraron al amigo más alto y más bajo del salón de clases. Todos somos diferentes, pero igualmente importantes, NO importa cuán altos o pequeños sean.

 

Big and Small Trees 

Students were to draw a big tree and a small tree on their paper and then tell me which one was the biggest. Students are working on comparing items that are big and small. 

Árboles grandes y pequeños

Los estudiantes debían dibujar un árbol grande y un árbol pequeño en su papel y luego decirme cuál era el más grande. Los estudiantes están trabajando en comparar elementos que son grandes y pequeños.

 

Observe the Trees 

Students went outside and observe/ drew the trees around the,. They were to notice the colors and shapes of the trees. Have your child look around for trees at home!
