Paint a Flower 

Students painted a paper plate, wrote their name on a stem, and then glued on seeds to the plate making a flower.

Plant a Sunflower

Students planted their own sunflower- we will watch it sprout and then it will be sent home to be planted at your house.

Observation Log 
Students wrote in their observation log- students will journal what happens to their sunflower seeds...they are Mammoth's Sunflowers. The flowers will be coming home when they sprout and then find a GOOD spot in your yard because they will grow 12 feet tall :) Send me pictures throughout the summer of the flowers growing.

Los estudiantes escribieron en su registro de observación: los estudiantes registrarán en un diario lo que les sucede a sus semillas de girasol ... son los girasoles de Mammoth. Las flores volverán a casa cuando broten y luego encontrarán un BUEN lugar en su jardín porque crecerán 12 pies de altura :) Envíame fotos durante el verano de las flores que crecen.

Students hunted for things in nature. They had a check list to mark off the items that they found.

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Sign Project Week 2

I have- Who has...  Students read their card with a sign on it then students had to listen to see if they have the card. For Example, I have a stop sign, who has the yield sign?  Yo tengo- Quien tiene...
