How Ya Feeling?
Meeting Time
For meeting time, students found the color red around the classroom. Try to find this color at home.
Social Bugs- Students are learning how to get their friends attention by tapping their shoulder, looking at their eyes, and saying their name. This is a great social skill to work on at home too!
How Ya Feeling?
This week, students learned about the different feelings that they might have- scared, happy, hungry, sad, angry, and sleepy. It is okay to feel all of these ways! I read the book, How Ya Feeling Juan Pablo Chameleon by Dan St. Romain. We sang a super fun song about how we might be feeling. Then students were to go to the tables and draw how they were feeling. You can check their drawings out during Parent/ Teacher Conference.
Super Friends
I read a book about how to be super friends. The book taught students how to treat one another in such akind way. At the tables, students were suppose to tell teachers how they could be a super friend.
Super amigos
Leí un libro sobre cómo ser súper amigos. El libro enseñó a los estudiantes cómo tratarse unos a otros de una manera tan amable. En las mesas, se suponía que los estudiantes debían decirles a los maestros cómo podían ser súper amigos.
Safe and Unsafe Choices
Students were suppose to figure out what were safe and unsafe choices. This will help students make safe choices at school and at home.
Elecciones seguras e inseguras
Se suponía que los estudiantes averiguaran qué opciones eran seguras e inseguras. Esto ayudará a los estudiantes a tomar decisiones seguras en la escuela y en casa.
Mat Man
This week, students learned about big lines, little curves, big curves, and little lines. All these lines and curves form letters. We built Mat Man as a team and then drew his body at the table by singing a song. Have your child sing your the song.
