 Who lives in a tree? 

Students learned that different animals and bugs in a tree. Students wrote and drew what lives in a tree. Ask your child what lives in a tree? 

Students also learned the difference between- deciduous trees and evergreen tress- deciduous trees- their leaves fall off and evergreen trees the leaves stay on. Try to find these two different trees around your house or neighborhood.

Los estudiantes aprendieron que hay diferentes animales e insectos en un árbol. Los estudiantes escribieron y dibujaron lo que vive en un árbol. Pregúntele a su hijo qué vive en un árbol.

Roll a Dice Game 

Students were to roll the dice and then count out that amount of corn/ leaves. Then after 5 minutes of rolling the dice, students counted how many items they had in their pile. Students then found out which friend had the most and which friend had the least.

Miss Kirby painted their hands and arm as the branch and trunk. Then students used their fingers to make the leaves.

Leaf Game 

Students played a leaf board game. They were to roll the dice and move their marker to that color of leaf. Board games are great for teaching patience (waiting turns) and color matching.

Students have now learned the shapes- triangle, diamond (rhombus), circle, square, and rectangle. Try to find these shapes around your house. Students were to trace these shapes. We will be starting letters very soon!!!

Fire Drill

Preschool students have been practicing what to do when there is a fire drill. Students need to be safe with their bodies when getting out of the building, Students practiced lining up on the dots and following Miss Kirby out of the room. Make a game plan and practice what to do if there would be a fire at your house.
