 Letter Cc 

Students learned how to write and say the sound of the letter Cc. Try to find the letter Cc around your house.

The Mitten 

Mrs. Jarecki read the book The Mitten and then students had to tell her what animals went inside the mittens. 

Center 1- Students drew something that went inside her mitten. 

Center 2- Rhyming Mittens- Students were to give a thumbs up or a thumbs down when they hear  words that sounded the same.

La Sra. Jarecki leyó el libro The Mitten y luego los estudiantes tuvieron que decirle qué animales iban dentro de los mitones.

The Paper Bag Princess 

Center 1- Students designed their own paper bag outfit just like in our story- Clothes are very important to keep us warm! 

Center 2- Students were to write a letter to a friend in the classroom. We are working on being Super Friends to each other.

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Sign Project Week 2

I have- Who has...  Students read their card with a sign on it then students had to listen to see if they have the card. For Example, I have a stop sign, who has the yield sign?  Yo tengo- Quien tiene...
