For our greeting song, students are clapping out friend's name with me. We are breaking words apart. For example, Wa-ter-mel-on (clap the sounds out).

This week, students explored deeper into the book called The Little Red Hen. Students figured out who were the characters, the setting, and fancy words in the story.
Students were then to make a hen out of their hand and tell the teacher if they would help the Little Red Hen/ why or why not.

Which ball bounces?
Students made a predication of how many times they could bounce a ball. Then students took turns with the ball while other friends counted the bounce. When that was done, students went into the gym and played with different balls- they tested out which ones bounced.

Students worked together a told Mrs. Jarecki if they had this ball at their house. Mrs. Jarecki made tally marks of all those answers. Then we figured out which ball had the most tally marks and which ball had the least amount of tally marks.

Students were to match the letter with the picture of that beginning sound. This game was a little tricky. Keep practicing all the letters we have learned.
