Letter Vv and Number 11 

Students are working on recognizing, writing and saying the letter of Vv. Try to write and find this letter around your house. Students are also recognizing the number 11.

What do we wear?

PM students learned what to wear when it is very cold outside. PM students colored and put winter clothes on their person.

Los estudiantes de PM aprendieron qué ponerse cuando hace mucho frío afuera. Los estudiantes de la tarde se colorearon y se pusieron ropa de invierno.


Measure Objects 

Students were to measure items at their time/ around the room using cubes and links. Then students were to count and tell the teacher how many cubes/links they used.

Students learned that construction workers use different tools when building a house. Check out some of those tools in the classroom. Students also learned that there are different works working on the building at one time. There are plumbers, electrician, and more.

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Plant Unit- Week 1 (Plant Expert)

 Student of the Week  Alumno de la semana Number 6  Número 6 Plant Expert   Mrs. Brenda (Mrs. Jarecki's Mom) came to school to teach students about plants. They planted green bean seeds, sunflowers, and a bulb. Students learned that there are many different kinds of seeds. Seeds needs dirt, water, and sun to grow.  Experto en plantas La Sra. Brenda (la mamá de la Sra. Jarecki) vino a la escuela para enseñar a los estudiantes acerca de las plantas. Plantaron semillas de judías verdes, girasoles y un bulbo. Los estudiantes aprendieron que hay muchos tipos diferentes de semillas. Las semillas necesitan tierra, agua y sol para crecer.
