Reuse- Make it into something new 

Students made binoculars out of toilet paper rolls. Students used rings as a paint brush (Reusing) to paint on their toilet paper roll.  At home, try to make something at home into something else for example (Cardboard box- into a house, Milk jug into a bird feeder, and more) Send me pictures through email and students can share those pictures with their friends.

Reutilizar: conviértalo en algo nuevo

Los estudiantes hicieron binoculares con rollos de papel higiénico. Los estudiantes usaron anillos como un pincel (reutilización) para pintar en su rollo de papel higiénico. En casa, trate de convertir algo en casa en otra cosa, por ejemplo (Caja de cartón: en una casa, Jarra de leche en un comedero para pájaros, etc.) Envíeme fotos por correo electrónico y los estudiantes pueden compartir esas fotos con sus amigos.

Students were to cut and glue things that were trash and things that are recyclables.Teachers helped them figure out what they need to throw away OR use again.

Students went on a virtual field trip to a landfill- students then wrote in their journals on what they remembered.

Earth Day

Students and Teachers went around the school property to pick up trash to help clean up our earth. Students then counted how much trash they picked up.

Number 9 and Review the Colors, Shapes, and Letters/sounds

Students worked on writing the number nine and counting to the number 9. Students are also reviewing the letters/sounds. Try to review what they know through play and going on scavenger hunts around your house :)

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Sign Project Week 2

I have- Who has...  Students read their card with a sign on it then students had to listen to see if they have the card. For Example, I have a stop sign, who has the yield sign?  Yo tengo- Quien tiene...
