Tree Project- Week 3

 

How many leaves tall are you? 

Students wrote their name on a white card last week, this week students stood in front of colored leaves and we counted how many leaves tall they were. Ask you child if they remember how many leaves tall they were. 

¿Cuántas hojas de altura tienes?

Los estudiantes escribieron su nombre en una tarjeta blanca la semana pasada, esta semana los estudiantes se pararon frente a hojas de colores y contamos cuántas hojas de alto tenían. Pregúntele a su hijo si recuerda cuántas hojas de altura tenían.














Parts of a tree 

AM students were to color the tree and then follow directions on where to glue the label for the tree part. 

PM students were to cut and then glue the parts of the tree label onto their tree. 

Home Activity: Find a tree in your yard, neighborhood, or in the country and talk about the parts of a tree. 

Partes de un arbol

Los estudiantes de la mañana debían colorear el árbol y luego seguir las instrucciones sobre dónde pegar la etiqueta de la parte del árbol.

Los estudiantes de PM debían cortar y luego pegar las partes de la etiqueta del árbol en su árbol.

Actividad en casa: Busque un árbol en su jardín, vecindario o en el campo y hable sobre las partes de un árbol.



How does a tree grow? 

Students cut and then colored the tree growing book. After that step, students were to put the book together in order. This book is in your child's backpack. 

¿Cómo crece un árbol?

Los estudiantes cortaron y luego colorearon el libro de cultivo de árboles. Después de ese paso, los estudiantes debían poner el libro en orden. Este libro está en la mochila de su hijo.





Chicka Chicka Boom Boom 

Students were to write their name, count the letters in their name, and then find stickers to spell out their name.

Trace those shapes 

Students worked in their handwriting books. They were to trace the shapes that they saw on the page. 

Home Activity: Draw shapes on a piece of paper. Have your child identify the shape. Then have them trace the shapes.

Los estudiantes trabajaron en sus libros de escritura a mano. Debían trazar las formas que veían en la página.

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Sign Project Week 2

I have- Who has...  Students read their card with a sign on it then students had to listen to see if they have the card. For Example, I have a stop sign, who has the yield sign?  Yo tengo- Quien tiene...
