Letter Ee 

The 4 year olds learned how to write the letter Ee, come up with words that start with an Ee, and say the sound of the letter Ee. Try to find the letter Ee around your house. Students could also build the letter Ee with you with their toys. 

Letra Ee

Los niños de 4 años aprendieron a escribir la letra Ee, a inventar palabras que comiencen con Ee ya decir el sonido de la letra Ee. Trate de encontrar la letra Ee en su casa. Los estudiantes también pueden construir la letra Ee contigo con sus juguetes.


Simple Machines 

Wedge 

Students used a wedge to spread peanut butter on their graham cracker. Then they needed to cut the graham cracker. Have your child help you in the kitchen while you are making dinner. Give them a butter knife to cut things.

Cuña

Los estudiantes usaron una cuña para untar mantequilla de maní en su galleta Graham. Luego tenían que cortar la galleta Graham. Haga que su hijo le ayude en la cocina mientras prepara la cena. Dales un cuchillo de mantequilla para cortar cosas.

Screws 

Students were to make patterns with screws and lids.

Expert 

We had an expert come and help students build a birdhouse for our outside playground. He showed us different tools and simple machines to use when building something :)

Un experto vino y ayudó a los estudiantes a construir una casita para pájaros para nuestro patio de recreo al aire libre. Nos mostró diferentes herramientas y máquinas simples para usar al construir algo :)

















What do we now know?? 

We reviewed everything we know about Simple Machines. Students were to tell me everything they remembered. I then wrote it on a web.  ( I will take a picture on Monday of this!) :) THEY HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH!

We had a special visitor come in and tell us what Veteran's Day was and what she was wearing. Thank you so much for coming in and your service!

Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

Sign Project Week 2

I have- Who has...  Students read their card with a sign on it then students had to listen to see if they have the card. For Example, I have a stop sign, who has the yield sign?  Yo tengo- Quien tiene...
