Finish the Ambulance

Students have been working on building the ambulance together. We have been looking up pictures of what the ambulance needs. Check it out! 

Termina la ambulancia

Los estudiantes han estado trabajando juntos en la construcción de la ambulancia. Hemos estado buscando fotos de lo que necesita la ambulancia. ¡Echale un vistazo!

Germs- What will happen to the pepper? 

 I had a bowl of water with pepper (Germs) on the top. I put my finger in the bowl with dirty hands and the germs (pepper) did not go anywhere. Then I put soap on my hands and then put my clean fingers in the bowl and the germs went to the side of the bowl. This is a good reminder to wash our hands to get rid of germs. 

Gérmenes- ¿Qué pasará con la pimienta?

Tenía un tazón de agua con pimienta (gérmenes) en la parte superior. Metí el dedo en el bol con las manos sucias y los gérmenes (pimienta) no se fueron a ninguna parte. Luego puse jabón en mis manos y luego puse mis dedos limpios en el recipiente y los gérmenes se fueron al costado del recipiente. Este es un buen recordatorio para lavarnos las manos para deshacernos de los gérmenes.

Nurse Anne

Nurse Anne came to the AM class. She showed the students different tools and  we asked her questions that students had the day before. Thank you Anne so much for coming and teaching students about being a nurse!

La enfermera Anne vino a la clase de la mañana. Mostró a los estudiantes diferentes herramientas y le hicimos preguntas que los estudiantes tenían el día anterior. ¡Muchas gracias, Anne, por venir y enseñar a los estudiantes cómo ser enfermera!

X-Rays 

We have TONS of bones in our body...206 bones.  When doctors take a picture of our bones that is called an X-Ray. X-Rays help the doctors what is wrong inside the body or if their is something broken. Teachers traced their students hands on black paper and then students glued on their own bones to their black paper. 

Rayos X

Tenemos TONELADAS de huesos en nuestro cuerpo... 206 huesos. Cuando los médicos toman una fotografía de nuestros huesos, eso se llama radiografía. Los rayos X ayudan a los médicos a saber qué está mal dentro del cuerpo o si hay algo roto. Los maestros trazaron las manos de sus alumnos en papel negro y luego los alumnos pegaron sus propios huesos en el papel negro.

Healthy Foods and Unhealthy Foods

Students learned about healthy and unhealthy foods. Students had to pick out the healthy and unhealthy foods and then glue them on the paper. AM Class worked as a team and the PM Class worked independently. Check out your fridge and pantry when you get home. Are their healthy and unhealthy foods in there :) 

Alimentos saludables y alimentos no saludables

Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre alimentos saludables y no saludables. Los estudiantes tenían que elegir los alimentos saludables y no saludables y luego pegarlos en el papel. La clase AM trabajó en equipo y la clase PM trabajó de forma independiente. Revisa tu nevera y despensa cuando llegues a casa. ¿Están sus alimentos saludables y no saludables allí :)

Letter Uu 

Students are learning to recognize, write, and say the letter Uu. Try to find the letter Uu around your house. 

¿Qué has aprendido?

Como es el final de nuestro proyecto, los estudiantes repasaron todo lo que habían aprendido. Luego, los estudiantes me dijeron lo que aprendieron a través de este proyecto. Revise las respuestas de su hijo.
