Science Experiment 

I brought "teeth" to school. (Eggs) Students had to figure out what would happen to the teeth when they sat in sugar. Students LOVE chocolate and popsicles. So we pretended that we ate the chocolate and popsicles. Then we let the egg sit all day in it. At the end of each session we saw that the teeth changed colors. That is when we decided to brush our teeth with toothpaste. Ask your child what happened next :) 

Experimento científico

Traje "dientes" a la escuela. (Huevos) Los estudiantes tenían que averiguar qué pasaría con los dientes cuando se sentaban en azúcar. Los estudiantes AMAN el chocolate y las paletas heladas. Así que fingimos que nos comíamos el chocolate y las paletas heladas. Luego dejamos reposar el huevo todo el día en él. Al final de cada sesión vimos que los dientes cambiaban de color. Fue entonces cuando decidimos cepillarnos los dientes con pasta dental. Pregúntele a su hijo qué pasó después :)

Brush your Teeth 

Students were given a black tooth. They were to brush the tooth with toothpaste (white paint) and a toothbrush. We worked on brush up and down, left to right, and round and round.

A los estudiantes se les dio un diente negro. Debían cepillar el diente con pasta dental (pintura blanca) y un cepillo de dientes. Trabajamos en cepillo arriba y abajo, de izquierda a derecha y vueltas y vueltas.

Steps to brush your teeth 

Students learned the steps of brushing their teeth and then they needed to put the steps in order on their own. Have your child show you the steps of brushing their teeth tonight.

Los estudiantes aprendieron los pasos para cepillarse los dientes y luego tuvieron que ponerlos en orden por su cuenta. Pídale a su hijo que le muestre los pasos para cepillarse los dientes esta noche.

Happy Teeth and Unhealthy Teeth 

Students learned about healthy and unhealthy foods for teeth. If we eat too much sugar- sugar bugs will start making holes in our teeth and it will create cavities in the tooth. It is okay to eat unhealthy foods sometimes but just to make sure you brush your teeth after. Twice a day. 

Dientes felices y dientes no saludables

Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre alimentos saludables y no saludables para los dientes. Si comemos demasiado azúcar, los insectos del azúcar comenzarán a hacer agujeros en nuestros dientes y crearán caries en el diente. Está bien comer alimentos poco saludables a veces, pero solo para asegurarse de cepillarse los dientes después. Dos veces al día.

Letter Rr 

Students going on to Kindergarten learned the letter Rr. They wrote it, found it, and came up with words that start with that letter.

Teeth Homework 

Have your child mark when they brushed their teeth. Bring it back to school and get a prize :)
