Sorry there isn't a lot of pictures this week- I was sick Tuesday- Thursday :(   Student of the Week  This friend wanted to bring his baby brother for show and share.   Student of the Week  Alumna de la semana We LOVE Public Schools!  Ambulance  This week, students learned parts of an ambulance and what the ambulance does. Then at Free Choice Time, students painted, and figured out all the parts that their ambulance needed. We looked up picture of the back, front, side, and inside of ambulance.  Ambulancia Esta semana, los estudiantes aprendieron las partes de una ambulancia y lo que hace la ambulancia. Luego, en Free Choice Time, los estudiantes pintaron y descubrieron todas las piezas que necesita su ambulancia. Buscamos una imagen de la parte trasera, frontal, lateral e interior de la ambulancia. Doctor Project- Week 1

 Student of the Week  Alumno de la semana What do you know about Hospitals?  Students told me what they know about hospitals. That gives me a better idea of what they need to learn for this project. We have transformed the classroom into a hospital.  ¿Qué sabes de los hospitales? Los estudiantes me dijeron lo que saben acerca de los hospitales. Eso me da una mejor idea de lo que necesitan aprender para este proyecto. Hemos transformado el aula en un hospital. Hospital Cross  Students worked together to paint the paper red. Students learned that when you see a red cross that means first aid.  cruz hospitalaria Los estudiantes trabajaron juntos para pintar el papel rojo. Gingerbread Man

  Happy Birthday  We celebrated two birthdays this week! We LOVE you both!  What did you get for Christmas?  Students were to write in their journals on what they got for Christmas.  Gingerbread Man Paper  This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread man, boy, girl, and family. Students had to then answer questions about the story at Center Time.  .  What did you eat first?  Students were given a gingerbread cookie. At the table, teachers watched to see what part of the cookie the students ate first. The head, arm, or leg. Then students wrote their name on a sticky note and then we graphed that information.  Why didn't the gingerbread man want to swim in the water?  Letter Cc  Students are learning to recognize, say the sound, and write the letter Cc. They are also coming up with words that start with the letter Cc.

We hope you had a GREAT birthday!  Student of the Week  Wrapping Gifts  Students wrapped their parents Christmas Gift. DO NOT open until Christmas Day. (No picture taken so parents do not know what the gift is). HA!  Assessments  I assessed each student this week. If your child is going to Kindergarten next year, I will meet with you in January for P/T conferences. Christmas- Week 2

 Happy Birthday!  We love you!  ¡Feliz cumpleaños! ¡Te amamos! Student of the Week Alumna de la semana Letter for Santa  Students made a Christmas list to Santa of the things they want. I made a copy for parents and the other letter is mailed off to Santa. Carta para santa Los estudiantes le hicieron una lista navideña a Santa de las cosas que querían. Hice una copia para los padres y la otra carta se envía por correo a Santa. Gifts  Students are making special gifts for YOU! :) It is a secret and I hope they can keep it!  Regalos ¡Los estudiantes están haciendo regalos especiales para USTED! :) ¡Es un secreto y espero que puedan guardarlo! .  Candy Cane  What will happen to the candy cane when you put it in vinegar? Christmas is Coming!

Christmas is coming!  Students are helping decorate the room for Christmas! We have the tree up and are making decor for the room and tree.  Monday Students were to draw in their journal on what they did over Thanksgiving break.  Tuesday Students were to make a pattern with Christmas Lights.  Wednesday  Students rolled the dice and got that many bows in their pile. At the end of 2 minutes. Students counted how many bows they collected - the one with the most won!  Thursday   Decorate your plate! Students painted a paper plate green and then once it dried, they could decorate it however they liked. Once they were all dried. Mrs. Jarecki put them together to make a Christmas tree.  .   Ducklings Mrs. Kristen brought in ducklings to show the AM preschool.
